Why Does Lysistrata Gather Women From Everywhere?
If Lysistrata would not have gathered women from everwhere would her plan had worked? I believe that Lysistrata gathers women from all over because she wants all the women to reform and stop the war not just the women in her area. Lysistrata needs the women of both Athens and Sparta to help unite all of Greece and she needs her influence to spread. Her plan won't work if she has only one group of women from one city trying to unite the whole country.

Yes, what you are saying is obviously true. Lysistrata did not want to put the men of Athens in danger by aking them surrender and declare peace, because what if the Spartans did not want peace, they woudl take advantage and hurt Athens. So, Lysistrata chose to united ALL women of Greece to make sure that all men would end up safe and united with the ending of her abstinence movement. She decided: Go big or dont do nothing at all.
I concur with your hypothesis Mr. Scruggs. If Lysistrata were to only use the women from one section, what good would that do the other side of the war from stopping. in order for the oath to be a success, the cooperation of both sides of the country is needed, and with dedication and determination to back it.
i agree. she gathers women so they could show a united front. if only one set of women did the plan then it would not have worked
